easyJet reports positive figures

easyJet bucked the current airline industry trend by announcing a 10.5% rise in 1st quarter revenues – with a figure of £607.5m. Revenue per seat also grew at a rate of 4.2% for the last 3 months of 2009. Passenger numbers increased by 9.1% to 11 million in the same 3 months when comparted to the same 3 months of 2008.

Maybe these figures will give rise to hope that at least budget air travel is in recovery, even if higher priced flights are still suffering the effects of the global recession.
